After
developing the Project Timeline, how do you know that your timing is
really feasible? Without developing a logic based "Planning
Schedule" you run the risk of not allowing enough time to complete
your project on time and within budget.
A "Planning Schedule" is a high level schedule that sets the basic
timeframe for major parts of a project. A planning schedule is
absolutely necessary to perform "what-if" analysis of the basic
program timing assumptions to ensure that the timeline is feasible.
It is a good idea to perform the what-if analysis before other team
members come on board. The "owner" of the planning schedule is
usually the project owner. |

Based on an owner's detailed Scope of Work, a Planning Schedule
validates the high level timing assumptions contained in the Project
Timeline.
A scope of work can be derived from bid documents, estimates
developed during the bid process, or through in-depth interviews
with the site personnel assigned to the project. SchedulePro does
not use templates to develop a schedule. Every schedule is unique
and is constructed task-by-task, based on your scope of work and our
expertise in developing a rock-solid project schedule. |
